Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Nature Walk Tour Guide to lead guided walks through natural areas such as parks, forests, trails, and reserves. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, strong communication skills, and the ability to educate and engage groups of various sizes and ages.
Responsibilities:
- Lead groups on nature walks, ensuring safety and an enjoyable experience for all participants
- Provide interesting and informative commentary about local flora, fauna, geology, and ecology
- Answer guest questions and encourage curiosity about nature and the environment
- Follow designated trails and adhere to park or reserve regulations
- Adapt tours based on group needs, weather conditions, and seasonal changes
- Assist with planning routes and preparing materials or equipment as needed
- Promote conservation awareness and responsible behavior in natural settings
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of local ecosystems, plants, and wildlife
- Excellent public speaking and storytelling skills
- First aid certification and outdoor safety awareness (preferred)
- Physical fitness and ability to walk/hike for extended periods
- Friendly, responsible, and professional demeanor
